What is teleportation?
"Beam Me Up, Scotty", can be one of the most famous phrases of the first series Star Trek . This sentence concerns the use of the Telek Telek Teleport concept. Tele (Greek) and portare (Latin), they become teleport and translate as to move or transfer at a distance . In Star Trek Earth has developed this technology that it is able to move both objects and relatively long distances.
Gene Rodenberry built only on concepts that already existed, with the word for the first time created by Charles Fort at the age of 30. He used this term to describe a sudden and strange appearance of unexplained things such as crop circles or frog rain. Fort believed that such phenomena were caused by teleportation, although its findings are often questionable and for certain things attributed to teleportacin, and has also been the subject of many demands in history. Especially incidents such as the one involved in the sister of Mary Agreda were used as a breezeZ that teleportation exists. In the 17th century, this nun claimed that while deep in prayer in Spain ended up in New Mexico and brought Christianity to Indian tribes. Surprisingly, when Spain discovered indigenous American tribes, they were familiar with Christianity and lend the confidence of the story of sister Mary. But many such stories were fraud and there are certainly other explanations than sister Mary.
In science, teleportation was very interesting. Although we are in no way ready to "transfer" any person in the near future, physics have performed some breakthroughs in this area. In 2002, scientists from the Australian National University were able to successfully teleport the laser beam for several feet. A few years later, scientists in Austria and the US were able to teleport several ions. In Denmark in 2006, a multi-atom, a very small object, was moved half a meter.
In principle, examinedIt eats two types of teleportation. Exact teleportation means that the exact object in its original form is removed from one place and appears in another. You can also transfer the object by coding all data about its components and its reproductions elsewhere.
We are still far from the teleporting everything as large as human or any type of animal due to the billions of atoms involved. However, this matter remains the interest of science writers and scientists. The potential, especially to restore the object of all its components, is quite fascinating. For example, in Star Trek there may be a way to solve genetic code problems, eliminate diseases or even lose weight, as this involves reconstruction of a person than the atomic level.
