What are the different morphs of Python?

Ball Pythons, also known as Royal Pythons, are a favorite pet for reptile and snake lovers. While Python balls in nature tend to show a relatively standard formula of colors and brands, sometimes a genetic property is created that creates a change in color or branded patterns. Breeders encouraged these features through careful selective breeding programs to create certain distinctive sets of characteristics, especially with regard to colors and patterns called morphs. Some examples are the yellow belly, Axant and Piebald.

The variety of morphs provides many options for collectors and enthusiasts to choose a Python ball. Morfy balls Python are generally available only from breeders and some may be difficult to find or very expensive. No agency or organization works the specific characteristics of different morphs of Python in the balls, but in general most breeders and enthusiasts use a relatively standard set of characteristics for each morphs. Some other morphs of Python in the balls are broken patterns, spider paternity, Mojave and Leopard. This is only a few main types of morphs. Striped, Pinstripe, Spotnosse and Champagne are several others. Pythons leucist balls are a morph with a clear white color, but they are not Albinos. There are also many combined morphs that have the properties of one or more morphs such as Piebald Leopard or Leopard Pastel. Double and triple combinations in a number of varieties are also known.
