What are the different breeds of hamster?
There are more than 18 different hamster breeds, but many are found in the wild. Five breeds of hamsters are considered the most common and these are those that are most often as pets. These breeds include dwarf Campbell Russians, dwarf winter white Russians, dwarves Roborovski, Syria and Chinese hamsters. All these breeds have their own unique properties. They are the most common breeds of hamster, which should be maintained as pets and are considered very obedient. Their life is usually about two years, but sometimes these hamsters can live for up to four years. They come in different colors and samples and are the largest breed that grows up to seven inches (17.78 cm) long. Their tail is very short, their eyes are small and have a case in their faces to store food.
Chinese hamsters are similar to Syrians, but they are not so antisocial. Although they grow no more than four inches (10.16 cm), they are not actually dwarf hamsters. Their body resembles a krYSE or mouse and their coats are either black with stripe and white stomach or white with stains. They live for about two years.
Russians dwarf Campbell are small and usually reach only four inches (10.16 cm). They are social and can be kept with other hamsters. Coats can be different colors, but often on top of gray -brown with white stomach and dark stripe down in the middle of the rear. Their sides are often creamy skin. They can be held like pets, but they can bite when they are nervous and live for about two years.
Winter white Russian hamsters are similar in size and nature as the dwarf Campbell Russians, but they do not bite when they are nervous. Their coats are either purple gray, pearl or a mixture of these two. They live for about two years and are very small and fast.
Roborovski dwarf hamsters are night and usually have good available. Are fast and slippery, which is hardUje. Like other dwarves, they are quite social and can be held together. Their coat is light brown and have a white belly. They usually live longer than other hamster breeds, usually about three to four years.
