What is picuposis?
The scientific name of the dicobrate is the diodon Hystrix and is a member of the Puffer Fish Family family. Porcupinefish usually prefers tropical water temperature. Specific characteristics such as long spines along the body and their preferences of the habitat help to identify this fish. They exist along the west coast of North America from San Diego to Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean and can also be found in the Gulf of Mexico. Scientists also found these fish in the Mediterranean, around Bermuda and other places throughout the Atlantic Ocean.
These fish have certain characteristics. This includes approximately 20 long spines in one row running from the muzzle of fish to the dorsal fin. When they are threatened, the fish inflate water. As it occurs, long spines of dicobic fish are switched from a crazy apartment to protrusion and discouraging attacks of potential predators.
coloring and signs of porcupine fish help to distinguish it from other fish. These fish range from gray to tan and have a small black spoty. Compared to a closely related balloon, the dicobic has a larger head and has small black spots cover the whole body.
other characteristics help to distinguish this fish from others. Their teeth are a solid unit and are able to burst open outer shells of some sea creatures and molluscs. Because of the strong teeth, their diet includes crabs, snails and sea hedgehogs.
Porcupinefish usually uses different oceanic traits as their habitat. This includes the search for coverage in caves and cliffs. They also tend to stick to the coast and are night. Holes and other slots, such as mountains found in the boat substitutes, also offer a perfect shelter for fish.
various predators feed on dipcusfosh. Sharks and Wahoo are among the predators of these fish. Smaller fish, such as Mahi Mahi and Billfishes, often prey to fish during their youthful scenes.
Fish in the Puffer Fish FamilyThey are not usually consumed and are used mainly for scientific purposes. The skin of the dicobic is excluded by the toxic substance and is considered to be poisonous.
