What is Titan Triggerfish?

Triggerfish Titan is a large, scaly type of fish found in Indian and Pacific Oceans. He has hard teeth to help him bite pieces of corals. It is known that this fish is attacking divers who encountered their nest.

This species is usually about 30 inches (76.2 cm) long. The animal's nose includes approximately one third of this distance. Most of his body is normally dark green or gray, but the fins are usually yellow or green with black tips. It also often has black marks just above the lips. For this reason, they are sometimes referred to as mustache triggerfish .

This species has two eyes, one on both sides of the head. These can move independently. This means that the left eye can point to the left, while the right eye rotates in the opposite direction. It can provide fish with a larger range of vision, so it mights better protect against predators.

This behavior brought this fish the reputation of a hard worker. The animal is often followed by smaller fish that lifted the remains discarded by this species.

Titan triggerfish is found mainly in indo-pacific. It is a region that includes the western and central areas of the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. Yet it is an anormally located near the Hawaiian Islands. Sometimes it is also located in the Red Sea. The species primarily swims in lagoons and cliffs located in these areas.

It is known that the bite of the trigger fish Titan causes harm to people, especially if the animal feels that jEho's nest is endangered. In an attack, it can distribute the poison known as ciguatoxin , which in some cases can cause infarction or even death. For this reason, people should be careful in diving in ocean areas where this species lives.
