What are the different types of pots for plants?

Plants for plants, also known as growers, are used both as decorative features and to separate plants apart. On the market there are many different types of pots of materials including ceramics, plastic, wood and metal. The selection of the pot will depend on the variables such as the type of plant, costs and aesthetic considerations.

Most plants pots can range from less than 2 inches (5 cm) to more than 3 feet (0.91 meters) in diameter. Most often they are circular, but may have any shape if they can hold sufficient soil for plant growth. Specific dimensions of the pot will often depend on the type of plant that can be grown in it. For example, bonsai trees tend to be relatively wide and shallow to suit the wide root structure of these plants, while a pot for tomato plant should be much deeper. This reddish-orange color and relatively low price. These types usually have at least one drainage opening at the bottom and can be sold with matchingThe plant plates to capture the drained water. Like most ceramic pots, large terracotta pots will be very heavy and can be difficult to move.

plastic pots are one of the cheapest and lightest types of growers and are usually used for temporary detention of plants, although robust containers can be used for long -term plantings. Most commercially available live plants come in these plastic containers. The pots usually narrow, so the plants can easily be removed and planted either in the ground or in other containers - the narrowing opening is easier to dig than one whose walls are completely vertical.

Another popular material for growers is wood. Wooden pots are attractive because they can be completed or painted in different colors; they are usually lighter than ceramic pots but more robust than plastic. However, in certain climate they maybe prone to rot or damage to termites.

Sometimes other objects can be imitated as pots for plants. This may be out of necessity or desire for specific aesthetics. Some classic examples of objects that contain plants are watering cans, cups and buckets.

As decorative objects are often placed on the stands for stands, either inside or outside. Some are designed to be stacked or nested to make the most of the available space. In other cases, lighter pots can be suspended from ceilings or other raised surfaces.
