What are the different types of fragrant jasmine?

Jasmine plants are known for their intensely fragrant flowers, but not all jasmine flowers live in this legend. Some have only a vague smell, while others have no smell at all. When planning to grow jasmine in the garden, the fragrance is often considered as climate and growing conditions. Some types of fragrant jasmine include common jasmine, Arab Jasmine, Spanish Jasmine, Italian jasmine and pink jasmine.

Jasminum officinale or common jasmine, grows 20 to 30 feet (about 6 to 9 m) high when it gives a support structure for climb. White or light pink flowers emit a strong floral scent. One common jasmine plant planted in the garden or veranda will mix air with this rich aroma. The flowers regularly bloom throughout the season. When planting outdoors, some cold weather can tolerate, but in the cold climate, common jasmine is best grown in a pot and brings to the winter months.

Arab jasmine or jasminum sambac is highly sensitive to frost and can be pto grow only outdoors in a tropical and subtropical climate. White flowers bloom in summer and produce a rich floral scent. This is a fragrant jasmine used to infuse tea in China to create a green tea jasmine. This tropical jasmine was also presented in Hawaii, where it is used to produce fragrant leis. Unlike the harsh climbing of ordinary jasmine, Arabic jasmine is a bushy still bush that grows 5 to 6 feet (about 1.5 to 1.8 m).

Spanish Jasmine or Jasminum Grandiflorum is a wine diversity of fragrant jasmine. The flowers are white with a diameter of 1 to 1.5 inches (about 2.5 to 3 cm) in diameter. Spanish Jasmine is a semi -world and tends to shed its leaves in winter.

Jasminum humile or Italian jasmine has yellow star -shaped flowers that fill the air in the summer with a rich aroma. It is an evergreen vine, which tends to grow into a muddy shape when it is not trained on a grid or other structure. Growth can also be cut as a dense shrub.

pink Jasmine or Jasminum polyanthum grows in a slight climate. Fine pink flowers provide a light scent at the beginning of the summer. It is a climbing variety Jasmine.

Specific growing requirements vary depending on diversity, but most jasmine thrives in full sun or partial shadow and place that has deep, rich soil and good drainage. During the spring and summer, the fragrant Jasmine is beneficial from regular irrigation and monthly fertilizer applications. In the autumn, the fertilizer should be interrupted and the plants should be interconnected to allow jasmine to go to winter dormancy.
