What is a dragonfly life cycle?
Dragonfly belongs to insects donata. Its life cycle consists of water and earthly phases. During the life cycle of the dragonfly, insects pass through the egg, nymph or larval stadium and then the adult phase. Dragonfly has evolved with some adaptations to help it survive in two different environments as it passes through the egg maturation process to the adult.
Life cycle of dragonflies begins when a woman puts eggs in or near the water. If the eggs are laid near the water source, they remain sleeping until the rain comes and causes the water level to climb. The eggs hatch when the temperature is correct, and the larvae or nymph will emerge from the eggs in about a month.
This first phase of the dragonfly life cycle is spent in the aquatic environment. The larvae of dragonflies feed on small aquatic organisms for which they actively hunt or passively wait. They have modified a specialized lip that can expand up to a third of the body length. The larvae feed on small aquatic organisms to allow them to grow rapidly.
As they grow lArvy dragonfly, progress to feeding larger insects such as mosquitoes, small fish and tadpoles. During this part of the dragon life cycle, the larvae are constantly melting by increasing the outer skin when they increase. Most dragon larvae expands 10 to 15 times before reaching maturity.
dragonfly larvae have gills that serve two basic purposes. Flippers allow them to breathe inside the water and also serve as a driving substance inside the aquatic environment when water is forced through them. Dragonfly species differ and the time required before larvae matures during the life cycle of dragonflies, depends on the species. Some species of dragons ripen in a few weeks, while others actually last up to five years than Macure.
When the dragon larvae are finally ready to convert into adults, they often emerge from the water in the evening and climb the leaves of partially submerged vegetation. Otherwise they simply hover up to the surface of the water and beginu swallow air. The swallowing of air causes their skin to be divided so that the ripe waistress emerges from the discarded skin. The formation of adults from the skin is the last stage of the Dragonfly life cycle.
