What is a cow?
Cowfish are a type of ocean fish found at the Middle Sea level, about 50 meters (about 164 feet) deep. Their scientific name is ostraciidae, although they can also be called trunkfish, boxfish or coferfish. As a member of the unique Fish Group TetraodontiFormes, this fish shares more similarities to Pufferfish and solarmifins than with other more typical types of fish. Remarkable features of this family of fish include bony skeletons, a body similar to a box and a hexagonal scale. Small fins and gills and several methods of defense of predators are also associated with cow fish. Light colors and diverse patterns are characteristic of many tropical fish and cow fish is no exception. Unlike their counterparts, however, they are covered with six -sided hexagonal standards that give the appearance of honeycomb. Water animals also have a square ISH with an almost vertical front end of AA slightly triangular back. Protective scales often stand out from several species, which makes them difficult for predators.
other different features are characterized by cow fish. Due to their shape and small sails, most varieties move in slow, rowing movement. Some types have corners connected to their heads for protection, no recognizable gills, the ability to inflate and can exclude water from the mouth in a steady stream to move sand. Another defensive measure among several species is the ability to emit poisonous substances known as osteritoxine. These fish also have a skeleton made of bone and distinguish them from many fish species that have skeletons mainly made of cartilage.
It is known that there are about 25 types of cows. One of the well -known varieties is Longhorn Cowfish, the creature of a living cliffs, found mainly in the Indian and Eastern Pacific Oceans. The additiotypes of Pal move from the round abdominal cow cow's cow fish. Some of these types may live in an open Atlantic Ocean. But others mOccasionally enter the bays or ports, prefer weeds, lonely areas where another marine life is rare.
Most cow fish are omnipotent and a feast on smaller animals or plants along the reef line. A common diet could contain octopus, shrimp, molluscs and eyelashes - and you can feed cow fish bred like pets. In addition, if they are held in the aquarium of salt water, the animals can attack smaller fish, either for food or for simple aggression.
