What is Nubian goat?
Nubian goat, also known as Anglo Nubian, is a breed of domestic goats developed in England. Some say these goats have an aristocratic appearance with award -winning ears and Roman noses. Although goats in this breed produce less milk than other milk goats, their milk has a butter content of 4 to 5%. The Nosbians are susceptible to diseases common to many goat breed, but generally remain health if they care properly. These are very social, intelligent animals and create excellent pets.
This goat breed is a cross between the old English goat milch and the breeds of rubbing and Nubian from India, Russia and Egypt. Nubian has a long, floppy ears that extend at least 1 inch (2.54 cm) around the mouth. The Roman nose is very distinctive in goat breeds and gives them a very convex profile. The eyes are small and stand well on the head. The corner buds are removed between two days and a week after birth.

The breed is susceptible to some common goat disease.Mastitis, udder infection, is usually treated with a broad -spectrum antibiotic. The abscesses of the lymph nodes around the head, neck and shoulders are treated with coating, collecting pus and giving goat penicillin shots. PainStick, overeating the disease and rotting of the legs are another disease that can withdraw the Nubian goat. Internal and external parasites can be infected with medicines and/or insecticides.
Nubian goats are friendly, intelligent and create excellent pets. They connect with their owners and call them from the pen.
