What is a banjo plectrum?
Banjo Plectrum is named for the way in which it is played with Plectrum, more commonly known as the selection. It has only four strings, unlike standard banjo, which has four long chains and one short string. Banjo Plectrum does not include the fifth shorter chain. The usual tuning of Banjo Plectrum is "C, B, G, D." When playing traditional folk music, it can also be tuned as a mandolin or violin, a style known as "Chicago Tuning". This style also matches the first four chains of guitars: D, G, B, E. They usually occur with a choice between your thumb and forefinger instead of choosing with fingers or toes, because it is usually played 5-sear banjo. The Banjo Plectrum sound was usually clear and cheerful.
Banjopos from Africa from tools made of gourd. Large gourd were usually equipped with necks on which the chains were attached. When the Africans were taken to other countries as slaves, they re -created these tools, which were later called Banjos. White Musicians in Black Face performed with Banjos already in aThe meric revolution, but during the civil war they gained their greatest popularity.
Banjo Plectrum later developed into tenor banjo. Where Banjos's planectrum has 22 sleepers, such as standard banjo five chains, tenor Banjo has only 17 or 19 sleepers, which embodies his neck. These four chain banjos, along with the lesser -known cello banjo, were generally edges either sovereign chords or melodies playing one string at a time with a pectrum.
The loud, clear sound of Plectrum and Tenor Banjos are a typical voice of dance halls from the beginning of the 20th century, Vaudeville and jazz clubs, especially before and after the First World War I. Ragtime Music often played Plectrum Banjo.
The four chain banjo, which is a prominent banjo plectrum, was generally the most popular banjo in the 20th year of the 20th century. Five-Scene Banjo regained popularity with renewed interest in Appalachian folk music inThe mid -20th century, mainly because of the melody of the "Banjos" in the "Deliverance" movie. The rise of Bluegrass music also called on Banjo five chains, although traditional Irish folk music, famous for the group "Dubliners", brought Banjo with four chains to a wider audience.
