What is a horse?

The Pommel Horse is a male gymnastic sport and a device on which the sport is performed. The horse is a long beam, made either of plastic or metal, which is covered with skin or synthetic materials. According to today's judgments that are listed in metric measurements, part of the horse is exactly 160 centimeters (about 63 inches) across and 35 centimeters (13.78 inches) in width. There are two handles or metal handles on a horse near the center and can be adjusted anywhere from 40-45 cm (15,75-17,72 inches). The height of the beam above the ground is 115 cm (45.38 inches).

The name of the horse is a reference to the real horses and the versions of this apparatus were used more than a millennium ago. There are records that Roman soldiers are trained on a false horse so that they can easily learn to mount and dismount. Some early versions of the horse Pommel include even the features of a horse such as head and tail. This was abandoned in the middle of the 19th century, when the horse became just about practicing a horse's deployment, but also a place for demonstrACI gymnastic prowess. At the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, male gymnasts on the horse Pommel competed.

Although male and female gymnasts perform some of the same sports as the vault and exercise on the floor, Pommel Horse is currently only male sport. The amount of strength needed to work on a horse by a number of continuous movements is significant. The movements include scissors, feet, circles, handbags and must be done with a perfect form to score highly in this event. Breaks in the form are penalized, just as it falls from a horse or fails to make perfect side. In most cases, men do not sit on a horse, but instead use the power of their arms to keep the upper body over the horse as they travel back and forth from one end of the horse to be used, with complex and qualified leg movements.

Force and art are required for this sport. Men have to provObtain certain elements, but the way these elements are performed, and the ability to include more demanding elements is on every competitor. Increasing the difficulties of elements in the routine increases the basic score.

Another use for horses pommel, minus handles, was in vault. Men and women used horses until it was replaced at the beginning of 2000 on an international scale. The table is considered to be a safer device than a horses for the vault.
