Saxophones are mainly used in bands, large bands and jazz bands, but also perform in about 19th and 20th centuries of orchestral works, as well as in the wind ensembles and wood choir. Unlike clarinets, which are generally designed mainly from wood, saxophones are made of metal, often brass. Despite this, they are considered to be wood rather than a brass tool.
