What is Zithe?
Zithere is a family of stringed instruments and a particular stringed tool. The family named is tools with striking strings, also known as simple Chordofone in the Hornbostel-Sachs classification system. If there is a resonator in a simple Zither, he must be able to be separated without eliminating the ability to produce sounds. This separates these tools from composite chordons that have a built -in resonator, as well as yoke, neck or other element holding a string.
The subgroup of this family are barryhers, tubes, zithers, vor zithers, boxing Zithers, Zithers, Zithers and Frame Zithers. Most sound when the chains are pulled out but some are bowed or hit. Between the tools on the keyboard is the piano Zither, as well as Cembared and Clavichord. Dulcimers - also used both as a class and as a member of the class - are Zithers box with multiple chains and without keyboard. Autoharps are Zithers boxing with shock absorbers that allow players to choose chords by pressing the buttons.
A specific tool called Zithere is one of two different types. One type is sometimes referred to as Fretless Zither, which has many variations. The second is the Zither concert, which has a characteristic of five melodic strings that are stretched through sleepers and nephretted harmonic chains that are not worried and may include chord groups. The instrument was created in the Alps and Carl Ignaz Umlauf is credited with the invention of the Viennese family of Zithers.
Music for Zither has achieved several Bavarian folk songs in several ways. Many may be surprised to find that in the work of Johann Strauss is a solo for this instrument "story from the Vienna Forest". Film version Third Man , based on the novel Graham Greene, features in thematic music. The score was folded and made by the Viennese composer and Zither player Anton Karas.
Other famous players included Hans Lanner, Rudy Knabl, Cornelia Mayer and Alfons Bauer. The repertoire for this instrument has spread over its origin and today includes jazz and pop, as well as folk and classic pieces. Autoharp also flourished and got into such diverse genres as Flamenco, Jazz and the Caribbean.
