What is a tiger?
Snow Tiger or Panthera Tigris is a Bengal tiger with a coat that is white instead of a more common orange shade. Snow tigers are not a separate species. Also known as white tigers, snow tigers are not albinos. The white color occurs when every parent provides a recessive gene needed for white fur, which is a very rare occurrence in the wild. The white coat of snow tiger has mostly dark stripes as well as the bands of orange -colored Bengal tiger, although sometimes they are born without stripes or with stripes so pale that they are hardly noticeable.
Snow tigers will achieve maturity after two to three years. Male white tigers are larger than women. The male snow tiger can weigh up to £ 507 (230 kilograms) and be almost 10 feet (3 meters) long, while the largest women weigh about £ 375 (170 kilograms) and are about 8 feet (2.5 meters). Snow tigers are generally larger than their orange counterparts. This endangered species is almost extintn in the wild.
The snow tiger is originally from India and Southeast Asia, but most of them live in zoos due to breeding programs that produce white offspring from captured tigers carrying rare recessive genes. The snow tiger is a carnivore and other mammals such as wild boar, buffalo, deer and goat in the wild. Newborns drinking breast milk, but switch to meat when it is several months. The snow tigers are generally lonely as adults, but the woman tends to her offspring until they can take care of themselves, for about two to three years.
White Tigers cannot run to some other wild cats, but because they hunt at night, they are able to capture prey using stealth. They prefer a habitat with lots of leaves for coverage and a permanent source of water. An adult snow tiger can eat an average of 40 pounds (18 kilograms) of meat a day and will eat mopokud is a food abundant after a particularly good hunt.
Some people believe thatE Snow Tiger sometimes refers to a snow leopard, a close relative of a Bengal tiger. Others believe that the term Snow Tiger refers to a larger Siberian tiger because he lives in a snowy environment. However, the Siberian tiger is orange, and so far there is only a reputation that there are white Siberian tigers.
