What is a rod?

Hrus rod is a strict stem that runs along the length of the guitar neck under the sleepers. It can be made of wood or graphite, but is more often made of steel. This inner rod helps the tension of the counterweight on the neck and keeps the neck of the guitar relatively flat. Some guitars, such as Rickenbackers, have dual trusses for greater stability.

Fresh rods are adjustable so that it can face the bow of the neck (known as "relief") that could appear over time. Seasonal changes, humidity and switching between heavier and lighter chains can affect the guitar neck. The sized can only be adjusted from one location that differs on different guitars models. In most cases, the adjusting head is hidden behind a small plate, but it is easy to see on other guitars. Models with this settings include older Fenders® and copies of the fender, many Yamaha® guitars and other models, including vintage re -releases.

Newer guitars on the fender are placed the administrator rod on the base of the headstock just above the matrix. HeadstockK is a part of the guitar where tuners or keys are placed, and the matrix is a small piece that leads the strings from the headstock. The rods of the sticks are uncovered on these models, but recessed (as always) in the concave cavity.

set guitars or guitars, whose necks are glued rather by glue than screwed, have the equal rod in the same place as newer fenders. However, the set-krku models are covered with a small plate attached to the screws. Guithary Gibson® and Epiphone® fall into this category.

For the aperter of the lattice rods on acoustic guitars, two different locations are possible. It will either be located the base of the headstock, as mentioned above, or is accessible through the sound hole on the inner heel of the neck. In the former case, the rod will be covered with a plate, but if it is in the sound hole, it will be easily visible.

While acoustic guitars with electric and steel chains are postAven from truss bars, classic guitars do not require them. These guitars use nylon chains that do not develop the same degree of tension as guitars with steel cut on the necks, causing reinforcement to be necessary.

While adjusting the stick is not very complicated, it can be costly lessons and can destroy your guitar. If you do not modify the neck of your guitar yourself, do not hesitate to take it to the store. Professional adjustments to the rod rod is a cheap service.
