What is the tube?
Part of the brass family of tools is a tube of both the instrument category and a group of tools in this category. Tuba category includes baritone, euphonium and somaphone and own tube. BB Tenor Tubas is numbered among tubes; F, EB and C TUBAS and BBB (say "double B-Flat") and CC (say "double c") double bass tubas.
Modern tubes are devices that are not transporated, and C and BBB are most often found in orchestral, thanks to their more comfortable fingering. They are often used to perform an older repertoire, originally designed for other brass tools such as Ophicleide - the predecessor of the tube - or Wagner Tuba.
The role of tube as a support tool is well known-in the reality it is so common that it is gently parodied in the children's story "Tubby The Tuba", in which Tubby finally convinces others that he should be able to play melody instead of being only for melody instead of "oom-pahs". The story of Tubby was written by George Kleinsinger and Paul Tripp in 1941, inspired by commentsTubist's belt, who made one of his pieces.
The composers of writing for a tube must take into account a large amount of breath required to play tube. Although Tuba's player is still sitting, Tuba's playing is a very physical activity. Pauses to allow players to breathe, are important. Unlike other brass tools, the tube rarely uses mute, and when it does it is usually a straight mute. The thickening is embarrassing how to insert and remove, and the composers must allow adequate time to be able to do it quietly.
Tubas are located in concert bands, orchestras, jazz, dixieland, brass churches and brass quintets. The Solo Tube repertoire includes a concert in F Minor by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Divertimento for Tuba and Piano by Carson P. Cooman and Enchorial Landscape by Thomas L. Read, and is now more common than before.
Famous Tubists include Roger BoBo, James Gourlay, Patrick Harrild, Patrick Sheridan, Sam Pilafian. Other remarkable tubists are Jon Sass, François Thuillier, Sergio Carolino and Harvey Phillips.
