What is neo-expressionism?

neo-expressionism was a postmodern art movement that began in Germany at the beginning of the 80s. In response to the philosophy of modern art. This movement, which was spread to other parts of Europe and the US, revitalized painting as a means of artistic expression. Like some other postmodern art movement, neoe-Expressionism did not avoid human emotions and was inspired by various aspects of culture. Many non -expressionist artists used the prosperous art market of 80 years.

neo -expression artists rejected too much perfection of modern art. Movements in modern art, such as minimalism, have shortened the artistic expression to the bare bones of composition and design, while removing all traces of Humnan emotions, individuality and culture. On the other hand, non -expression players were less cared for by artistic ideas of design and much more about individual expression and culture.

comes at a time when the painting was declared dead artistic criticism and artists, the neo -expressionist art movement acceptedColor as a creative medium. German artist George Baselitz is often considered a pioneer of neo-expressionism. He often painted a human figure, a topic from which many modern artists have turned away. Baselitz also celebrated the unique characteristics of color in his work, often by applying color with noticeable brush blows.

Two other German Neo-Expressionist artists, Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer, also celebrated painting as a medium, but everyone had a unique style. One body of Richter's work consisted of the photorealistic landscape painted in oils. The landscape was brilliantly created, but it seemed to be outdated, which has a funny comment on the mechanical nature of the photograph. Anselm Kiefer, who has been painting in non-Expressionist style since 2011, often uses the landscape as an object as well, but attaches other materials such as sand, hair, straw and photographs of his canvas.

a lot of neo-ExpressionistsThe art work has an advantage and some of them are emotionally dark. Artists like Kiefer and Richter were influenced by their exposure to communism and Nazism. Other artists were affected by prejudices or perception of the ironic aspect of the American dream.

For a neoExpressist artist, Grist came from for Creative Mill from various sources. Anselm Kiefer draws on German history, Nordic and Greek philosophy, Western philosophy, classical music and science. American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, who died in 1988, found his inspiration in Graffiti city street. Another artist, Eric Fischl, often paints a human figure and uses American upper classes as an object for his paintings.

NeoExpressionism increased at a time when the art market, especially in the United States, developed. Many Neo-Expressionists have become very successful, both in terms of money and in terms of recognition. Their work was widely collected by both individuals and art museums.
