What is Anole?
Anole is a lizard that comes from parts of the Caribbean and the southern United States. There are at least 200 species of Anole. The only species that was found in the United States is Green Anole.
Anole is sometimes confused with a chameleon. Carolina Anole or anolis carolinensis changes color, but is not a chameleon and changes only from green to brown. The environment, temperature and amount of darkness or daylight affect whether anol will be green or brown, but stress is also a factor.
Anols are considered to be highly sensitive to stress and anol that experience stress, they can have most of the brown color time, except without the light at night and/or exposure to lethargy. Some types of anol do not change different colors, but only shades of the same color as the Cuban brown Anole, which always remains a brown shadow. Sometimes they can be on branches or rock walls. Anoles eat many types of small insects, with the exception of some types of beetles.
The anole subtot has an interesting pendant on the neck similar to a fanto the pests called ros. You really do not see ROS if the cause does not decide to show it, for example, when mating rituals or in defense of its territory. The displayed decne wheel can be very colorful, such as red with yellow spots.
Although anoli differ from chameleons, both have eyes that do not necessarily move together. Like other reptiles, Anole casts the skin. Anols can also eat their skin.
Anole has the ability to defend himself by separating his tail to distract his predators while running to safety. Another tail grows back, but usually looks noticeable differently and is less functional than the original tail. Anola is also protected by biting. Their bite is not poisonous, but it can be quite painful. Anols are usually not aggressive if they are not induced.
