What is aquabike?
Aquabike is a series of athletic performance presented in 2005 by the US triathlon (USAT), the official government body of the triathlon in the US. Rather than competing in all three parts of the triathlon, athletes who participate in the Aquabike program do not compete. Instead, in half or ultra -distant triathlon, athletes in this category compete only in parts that include swimming and cycling. Some older people had to stop because the pain was too big. Others were after the knee and hip injured. But everyone missed the excitement of the competition and still had passion and ride necessary to perform at a multisport event.
The idea of dropping from the running part of the triathlon was brought by the temporary Executive Director in Usat and was born Aquabike. In response, many triathlon with a long procession began to organize 1.2 miles (1.9 km) swimming and 56 kilometers (90 km) cycling. Competition in two -thirds of the race allows Aquabike athletes to experience the level of enduranceFaliness similar to triathlon without pressure on the articulated cross -country part, which is 13.1 miles (21 km).
When Aquabike was in its infancy as a pilot program, it was not included in the National Labs. The directors of races were invited to provide participants and awards with the corresponding age groups for each category. Since 2005, Usat has seen a permanent increase in sanctioned events Aquabike. In 2009, about 67 Aquabike events were sanctioned, while the Racing directors provided participants of times and locations.
Since 2010, Aquabike rankings have been included in the final ranking. As the average age of the members increases, the organization expects that participation in Aquabike events will grow. The organization considers the Aquabike category to be a viable option for older members to maintain fit and competitiveness without further emphasizing joints.
aquabike or aquacycle is also a term for a stationary wheel used inE Class of exercise offered in many public pools and gym. The wheel, which is located in water at an approximately chest level, is designed from electrolytic polished stainless steel designed to prevent rust. The Aquabike class helps the hovering participant to reap the benefits of aerobic training without experiencing the pressure of the joint and the spine associated with exercising on dry soil.
