What does a baton do?

Twirling Baton is a sport agility and coordination associated with grace and flexibility. It has a best vague history, but since the early 1950s there have been professional organizations supporting this activity as a sport. The United States Twirling Association is the largest professional organization for this sport.

This sport includes a baton spin, a balanced stick that usually consists of metal, but it is much more at competitive levels. As with gymnastics, figure skating and other sports combining dexterity with grace requires a competitive routine spinning containing mandatory elements for scoring points. In the competition, the athlete may be obliged to twist vertically or perpendicular to the floor and horizontal. Similarly, it is obliged to perform a certain number of catches and release and change them throughout the routine. Ztokovat at some levels of competition requires to use more than one baton.

Baton Twirling is an essential element for many marcles of bands to seeSpin not only as a drum majority, but also to twist other objects such as rifles, flags and even flames. Twirlers are an integral part of the marching band because they add visual attraction to the overall music performance. Many participants in marching bands of secondary and secondary schools, flag choirs and colorful guards can also be involved in a competitive spin individually.

choreography is part of the baton spinning, but coordination is generally the primary skill needed to perform. Twirlers baton sometimes has skills similar to gymnasts or cheerleaders, but cannot only rely on tumbling and dance skills. They often work with coaches who help them learn and improve their skills and relaxation of skills and flow in motion in their editions, catches and choreography.
