What is mothers?

Motherwort is known to its scientific name Leonurus cardiaca and several synonyms such as Lion's tail, Heartwort, Leonurus and Throwort. The plant is originally from Asia, but is now grown around the world. For centuries it has been used as thinner blood, muscle relaxant, method of regulation of menstrual cycles and as a way of regulating work and reducing postpartum depression. It seems relatively effective in thinning blood based on laboratory studies, but that may not be a good thing. If you are on blood thinners, Motherwort can cause bleeding problems combined with drugs such as aspirin or warfarin. A person with heart condition should never use it without the advice of a doctor. It can be a dangerous medicine used during work. Women who are pregnant should never use it before the onset of work. Chinese herbalists prescribed a parent network as an abortionA tight agent and may cause abortion.

Some women use kindergarten to regulate their periods, reduce symptoms of pre -team syndrome and especially to reduce convulsions. It seems to have a slight sedative effect and release muscles, which can be legitimate. Unofficial evidence further suggests that Motherwort helps to alleviate or stop the hot flashes and provides the overall feeling of peace for menopause women.

For this herb, there have been several other historical uses. It can be used to treat insomnia or to fight flatulence. As a musclelaxant, this first use may make sense, but there is little evidence that maternal assembly reduces gas.

Sometimes the parent residence is combined with other herbs such as Mullein, and is used in cough and in cold herbal means. Because it can release muscles, it can make it easier to cough and may have a slight anti -inflammatory effectto swollen almonds. When using the tonic combined herbs, it is important to be careful because all ingredients should be evaluated as potentially contraindicated with certain conditions or if you are taking certain medicines.

Despite warnings, some midwives who use herbal preparations and of course herbalists, prescribe this herb for pregnant women. There is some difference in views of whether it is safe or effective. More often midwives can only recommend its use during and after work. It is also assumed that it stimulates the milk offer and lactation consultants can be recommended.
