What is plmeria?
Plomeria, also known as Frangipani, is a large flowering shrub or tree that is expected to come from Mexico or Central America. In subtropical and tropical climate, it grows so well that its growth is now common in Hawaii and in a slight climate of some other US countries. It is common to find this plant in southern California and parts of the southern states. It is also located throughout South America.
There are about eight different variants of Plomeria, based primarily on the color of its flowers and the shape of the leaves. Each variant has very different shaped leaves from other variants and the size of the flower may vary. Common colors are creamy to yellow and red or pink. Some newer varieties have colored mixtures or orange, red and yellow. Plants can reach up to 40 feet (12.19 meters) and bloom during the year.
Plmeria flowers are also large and can have a diameter of 5 inches (12.7 cm). They are often used in Hawaiian Lei because of their desired size and also because of their exceptional scent. The smell is described as very sweet and stronger at night. The warnings should be used in the use of flowers in free leism, which are given to children who could have their mouths. Even chewing the petal can cause mouth irritation and swallowing can cause extreme disease.
Although they are poisonous, some people use Plomeria in alternative health applications. Experts recommended that people with this plant avoid something that should be used because it can cause disease. Plomeria is more often used in perfumes and body creams because of its desired smell. It is also cited as a component in love potions several hundred years ago. Such a potion could only be dangerous only from the toxicity of the plant.
