What is Colorado relay?

Colorado relay is an annual race for runners of all skills that take place in Colorado. The length of the race is about 174 miles (280 kilometers) and runners usually start in Georgetown and cross the finish line in Carbondale. This relay takes 24 hours for most runners to finish. Instead of racing individually, runners are divided into teams anywhere from five to 12 people. Each team member is generally responsible for running three legs of the race.

Some teams in the Colorado relay can be formed by elite runners. These teams are referred to as "ultra" and usually consist of more than five people, with each person usually covering about 35 miles from the race. Some Ultra teams are also classified as "Freestyle Ultra" teams. Runners who register for these teams can divide the race of the race, but choose, without a specified number of kilometers so that every person can run.

Colorado relay is often considered a challenge for many runners, including those who have PROfficial running background. Runners travel around the rocky mountains, up and down with steep tendencies. Some of these bundles reach extremely high altitudes, which can exceed 12,000 feet (3,658 meters). Runners are allowed one or two vehicles per team to carry runners to and from exchange points. Failure to be weather and injuries are always options and therefore teams are obliged to transmit medical sets.

In order to participate in the Colorado relay, a person must be at least 16 years old. People under the age of 16 who want to participate are generally obliged to obtain approval from RAS management and usually have to have an adult during the allotted legs of the race. The costs of registration for participation in Colorado relay may vary from Rokudo of the year, with rates generally lower for early registration and higher applicants for people who register for the last minute.

There are also prices and benefits for relay participants. Time trails and other competitions with reward for Vít can take place during the raceěe. People who can do it by the race are usually rewarded with a large breakfast in the morning after they crossed the finish line. Other bonuses may include T -shirts with the Colorado Relay logo and other related clothing, but these accessories usually differ every year.
