What is Conga?

6 Dance Conga is the origin of Latin America and was originally performed as part of the Carnivale celebration. The strong rhythm is marked with Conga drum, the African drum played with his hands.

The Conga line is just a group of dancers who stand in the back, gently holding a person in front of the waist. Music for Conga is usually 2/4 or 4/4 time, and if you don't have a room full of good dancers, you will probably fall in a line in a few minutes. Yet the irresistible rhythm of the drum inspired by Africa during the Carnivale celebration caused most people to their feet to enjoy a few minutes of fun.

Dance was especially popular in Cuba, where it is called Comparsa today. In America, dance became almost immediately popular after desi Arnaz at the age of 30. For the next 20 years, Conga Lines would be standard at most dance parties. You can still find a line form at a wedding or party, but the popularity of dance and knowledge has decreased.

If you are invited to dance in Conga, it's not really hard. Take small steps, one for each rhythm and make sure your kick is to the side, not in front of you or back. You don't want to dig other people in the line. Maintaining small movements can help maintain the integrity of the line.

If you accidentally want to lead a line, get a good sense of room layout before you start. It does not help lead your line to a series of chairs or romantic intertwined brides and groom. At the wedding, the bride or groom usually gets the opportunity to lead a line. The brides on each other a long train or a very full skirt may want to lead if they are worried about keeping intact dresses.

Don't expect the dance to take a long time. If you do not participate in a party with a group of dedicated dancers, you will probably keep the line in place for only about a third of the song, maybe to the maximum minute or two. If you participate in a party where you would like to create a Conga line, you may want to leave DJ orMusicians to know. They can announce a line that can lead to a large line and more entertainment for participants.
