What is the eastern wolf?

The Eastern Wolf is generally considered a subspecies of the gray wolf. It is largely for North America, although its extent has decreased significantly over the last 100 years. This little wolf is often wrong with coyot, partly because of its size and partly because of its color, but it's a real wolf.

The range of the eastern wolf is limited to a small part of Canada and the United States, mostly in large lakes and around them, mainly due to hunting and loss of habitat. Defenders of wild animals estimate that Wolves occupies only a small percentage of their original territory in the United States and less than half of their original range in Canada. The large percentage of the remaining population of these animals is found in the northern minnesota, with some small groups located in other areas such as Quebec and Wisconsin.Y Wolf. Many of these wolves have been genetically examined and it was found that it has a combination of genes from several types of wolves. This contributes to confusion when trying to classify them, especially because the genetic koMbination differs in different populations.

Women weigh about 40 to 65 pounds (20 to 30 kg) and men are somewhat larger, weighing £ 5,80 (25 to 35 kg), although some may weigh up to £ 115 (52 kg). There are no more than about 32 inches (81 cm) on the shoulder, with some barely over two feet (61 cm). The Eastern Wolf coat is light reddish brown covered with longer individual black hairs and is very similar to the appearance of a coyot coat.

Eastern wolf usually hunts in packages, with all sharing killing. They usually kill deer, Cariba and Moose. If there is no more prey, they will eat smaller mammals, such as Mice, rabbits and oxen. Beavers are also common prey for these animals and wolves will catch dead animals if there is an opportunity. The social structure of the pack dictates which wolves eat first and which they have to wait for the turn but all members of the pack will have a chance to eat when they are killed.
