What is a stiff glass?

Glass -stiffened glass is formed with uneven heating, which causes the cooling glass to form layers instead of a solid leaf, making it much more resistant to the impact than the "brindle" glass. It is not indestructible, but when it relaxes, this glass breaks down in a spray of pellet similar to cube than jagged shards. Among the most common use for side and rear windows and windshields in cars, showcases, terrace and shower doors. How far further determines the different degrees of "deterioration" - it can range from twice as thick as an annealed glass as a six times larger tensile strength. Once the glass is heated, the outer side is quickly and artificially cooled, usually the nozzles of the cold air. This method only solidifies the outer and leaves the inner molten and liquid. This is what creates different layers in the glass.

Due to its layering, the surface of this glass is more resistant to impact. The same chosen object that bY created a single hole in the pane of the brindle glasses, it would probably bounce off the comparative pane of hardened glass. The disadvantage is that since glass has more unity in its tensile strength, it would be more likely that it would explode completely if sufficient force was used. This is sometimes a safety problem, because once the window is broken, there are no glass shards to discourage the discouragement of the entrance. This glass is also more expensive to produce, because of the next step needed to cool the exterior. Interestingly, Softer also has a surface that is more prone to scratches.
