What is the painting of words?

Word Painting is a type of musical composition technique in which tones, pace and dynamics of notes reflect the object of the song. This method of music style is also often called painting tones or text painting. Some examples of words of words date back to church music of the 10th century, which included singing in rising tones to describe Jesus' resurrection. Experimenting with words of words in music continued to the Baroque music era in the 17th century, and some of the pieces of George Frideric Handel are good examples. One of the most common characteristics of tone painting is the use of low notes to describe gloomy themes and higher notes to mediate optimistic.

The process of composing music with text painting usually includes writing notes that correspond to the feelings that evoke a particular word in listeners. The texts describing the darkness and death are usually set to low tone and even dissonant notes. Some phrases can also be writitten with long and even notes or short fast fastdepending on the meanings and connotations of words.

As soon as Baroque music retreated at the end of the 17th century, Word Painting dropped out of many composers who believed it was a musical cliché. Some popular music genres from the end of the 20th and early 21st century were less renaissance. Some artists began experimenting with creative ways of incorporating text painting while pairing their texts with melodies and harmonies. Many of their efforts resulted in a song that were unforgettable among listeners for these sound patterns.

The visual application of tone painting on the film is known as Mickey Mousing, referring to its frequent use in early animated films by Walt Disney Company in the 1920s and 1930s. This musical technique pairs gestures or movements on the screen with rhythms of and about accompanying instrumental scores. Mickey Mousing was originally intended for comic eFekt and for emphasis, although eventually in most audiences and criticism due to excessive use fell out of kindness. A purely instrumental score used in Mickey Mousing films has seen a decline early after the acceptance of a spoken dialogue in animated and live action movies.

6 This vocal music was composed specifically with extra tonal ornaments to emphasize certain words and phrases. Composing music with tone painting strictly for the human voice was usually considered as demanding as for musical instruments.
