What is Zoanthid Coral?
Member of the phylum Cnidaria, Zoanthid Coral is a colonial anemone closely related to individual anemics. Zoanthid Coral, including members of the Palythoa and zoanthus , have certain characteristics that we associate with plants and some with animals. They grow in the ocean as a group, permanently attaching to the cliffs, feeding on anemones and spreading like corals. Zoanthid coral grows in a colony, which means that the lower mat combines many tubules. Each tube, called table, resembles a single Sasáčka. The upper part has a ring of short tentacles surrounding her central mouth. This upper part is held by an extended column of tissue, such as the stem of the fungus, and this in turn connects to the collective mat.
coloniescolonies can be made up of dozens of such stolons, each 1 - 1.5 inches (2.5 - 3.8 cm), to form carpets on cliffs or around. Zoanthid Coral prefers to grow on pieces of broken corals that are collected in the valleys of Tidepools or on the ocean bottom, but they can also survive on Pthe number and rocks. Zoanthid Coral grows seemingly diverse ways. Some stools are men and women and release sperm and eggs to fertilize and grow into a completely new colony. However, existing colonies can also spread by branching new polyps, such as coral that start from the carpet and grow up.
Zoanthide coral because it cannot penetrate (move around), feeding on nutrients that carries a current called Detritus. Detritus are miniature pieces of food that other creatures do not notice, such as pieces of algae, plankton or waste. Other nutrients are extracted from photosynthetic algae that live on Zoanthid Coral, called zooxanthellae. However, Zoanthid Coral is also equipped with poisonous toxins that can stab other creatures from the tips of their tentacle. This is only for protection, not paralysis of animals for food.
medical scientists are interested in Zoanthid Coral because it has symbiotic relationships with animals and plants such as algae and crabs, yet they keep the production to toxican chemicals. Although toxins are poisonous to the nervous system, they can be able to benefit people against illness.
