What is a bronchial artery?

The bronchial artery is the primary blood vessel responsible for supplying the lungs with oxygenated clean blood. There are two of these arteries, one of which supplies the left lungs and the other supplies to the right. The bronchial artery generally comes from the thoracic aorta, which is the primary blood vessel of the heart. Bronchi are air passages placed in the airways.
