What Is the Hindgut?
In the occurrence of vertebrates, the digestive tract is divided into three parts, the foregut, midgut, and hindgut, and the hindgut is later divided into the large intestine. It has caecal buds at its junction with the midgut, and most of them derive cecum. For other animals, although the definition of the hindgut is inconsistent, it often refers to the site of the digestive tract that originates from the anal fossa from the origin of ectoderm.
