What Is a Galileo Thermometer?

Galileo thermometer (English: Galileo thermometer) is a thermometer composed of glass cylinders, transparent liquids and weights of different densities. When the temperature changes, the density of the liquid changes, causing the suspended weight to move up and down until it is equal to the density of the surrounding liquid. The lowest density weight will be at the top and the highest will be at the bottom. Each weight is hung with a metal disc engraved with numbers. When reading the ambient temperature, find the weight suspended at the bottom of the top.
