What is the fingerprint reader?

Fingerprint reader is a biometric tool used to verify human identity. These devices generally work by scanning the user's fingerprint, creating a digital image and comparing the live printing functions with the stored copies. Fingerprint readers are used to enforce the right, access and secure the computer. Different technologies used in fingerprint readings offer different strengths and weaknesses for identity verification.

Human fingerprints have a number of identifiable functions that can be used for comparison. Ridges on fingerprints usually form one of three different patterns. The arches are combs that enter the finger from one side, rise in the middle and climb the finger on the other side. The loops include the ridges entering the finger, the loops around and protruding on the same side. Whorls are sets of ridges that form concentric circles.
