What Are the Different Ways to Measure Glucose?

Glucose measurement refers to the qualitative or quantitative determination of glucose in a sample. The sample can be blood or other body fluids. Glucose measurement is performed clinically by glucose oxidase method or hexokinase method. In addition, the urine glucose test strip method can be used for qualitative detection of urine glucose, which has the advantages of fast, non-invasive, and cheap, and is widely used in primary screening of diabetes; portable blood glucose meters can be used to measure blood glucose concentration immediately at the bed, conveniently and accurately.
