What are the nodes of the neck?

The neck nodes are lumps that appear in the throat and fall into two general categories: thyroid nodes and nodes of vocal cords. They are quite common and most of them are benign, nor cause pain, but in a small number of cases they can be a sign of cancer. Thyroid knots may indicate that the gland produces too many hormones. The nodes of the vocal cords, also called nodes of vocal folds, have the weight of the tissue that grows to the vocal cords and usually does not affect the general health of the patient. On the other hand, only 1 of 40 young men have this condition. The probability that a person has cervical nodes increases with age, with 50% of all 50 years and 70% of 70 years old. These lumps should not be confused with goiters, which are growth in the thyroid gland. Towage, often occurs when a patient or medical expert feels or sees lump or when radiological procedures are used to diagnose other diseases or injuries. Medical experts often use fine aspiration biopsy (FNA) to obtain tissue, with which it can be determined whether the nodes are benign or cancer.

If the patient discovers cervical nodes, they should be evaluated by an endocrinologist, an endocrine surgeon or another medical expert who is familiar with the appropriate diagnostic procedures. This evaluation usually includes finding out whether the patient has undergone radiation treatment or has been exposed to nuclear radiation, especially as a child or a teenager. There is a small increased risk of thyroid cancer in humans exposed to such ionizing radiation.

vocal cords can result in hoarseness, reduced voice range, speech fractures and pain in speaking. They appear on both sides of vocal cords as symmetrical swelling and affect the ability of vocal folds to make a rapid change in air pressure necessary to produce speech. Their cause is usually the result of strenuous use of vocal cords such as screaming, screaming and cough. People who have to use withVoices in a loud environment are most prone to this problem, singers, preachers, teachers and drilling instructors at the highest risk.

Treatment of nodes of vocal cords often includes speech therapy and voice training. The pears are sometimes surgically removed, and this is considered a relatively safe procedure. Occasionally, it is necessary to deal with the psychological consequences of the neck knots, especially in the case of singers and actors.
