What is Bedsore?
Bedsore develops when blood flow is disrupted into certain areas of the skin. In general, this happens when a person remains in one position for a longer period of time. Individuals who are on the bed usually receive beds, which are also known as pressure ulcers and decubitus ulcers. The pressure from the remaining position in one set position can cause skin tissue to die of lack of blood circulation. Bedsores are most often formed by buttocks, back, hips, shoulders, heels, ankles, elbows and back of the head. Individuals who are unable to get up from bed themselves are most at risk for this condition of the skin. Sitting, for example in a wheelchair, can also cause ulcers for a long time. Health, such as vascular disease, may be a predisposer because a person with this type of condition can have existing problems with the bloodthy. Other common causes may include elderly, as this can cause inactivity, malnutrition and incontinence problems.
The severity of Bedsore is evaluated in four phases. During the first phase, the skin may seem very red and may feel firmly or mushroom and warm. Open pain will be present with a sore phase of two and the area surrounding the pain can be irritated and faded. The third beds of the phase look similar to craters and tissues lying under the upper layer of the skin are generally damaged at this point. Bedsoares usually leads to bone and muscle damage under pain in the fourth phase, and sometimes the damage can spread to neighboring tendons.
skin conditions such as beds are generally diagnosed by visual examination. Treatment of skin condition usually depends on the stage of severity. Phase one or two beds can recover without very invasive treatment. Treatment of small ulcers will include thorough pain and dressing to protect against further injuries. Some people can use special pillows to reduce pressure in concentrated areas.
a large bed may requireSurgical repair. Surgery may be required to repair severely damaged skin, tissues and other structures such as muscles and tendons. If the infection develops, surgery may be necessary to adequate infection. Wound healing can be more important for a very large Bedsore requiring surgery.
In order to prevent the bedroom, individuals who are on bed should be regularly helped in different positions. In addition, if possible, individuals should be helped on disabled cars in various sites or rest. If the pain begins to feel, run abundantly or the individual develops a fever, it could indicate an infection. For this reason, it is necessary to get from a medical medical evaluation immediately.
