What is the hormonal test?

hormonal test can use a man or woman to determine the levels of some key hormones in his body. The test can be administered by a doctor in the office or through a home saliva test kit. Generally, symptoms associated with hormonal imbalance or phenomenon such as menopause are used.

There is a debate between the medical community about whether the saliva test is accurately testing hormone levels. Some argue that it is testing “active” hormone or level levels that regularly pulsate the body, better than a blood test. On the other hand, they point out that 95% of hormones in the body are tied, which means they are inactive, but they are still important to know. The saliva test will only test 5% of hormones that are truly active.

Women with hormone levels outside the normal range may find themselves moody, experience in weight or other body changes, and menstruation becomes irregularným. This can be attributed to menopause or perimenopause, but may also be caused by hormonal imbalance, which is not associated with any conditions. Men who fall outside normal ranges can find themselves in one of the two states of mind. Low testosterone levels, sometimes called male menopause, can cause lack of sexual desire and impotence, while a high level can cause it too aggressive with thoughts and actions that often turn to sex.

The most complex test of female hormones will check the levels of hormone stimulating follicles (FSH), progesterone, estradiol, estron, sulphate dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA-S) and testosterone. The home hormone test is most likely to test only for FSH and estrogen. The normal range for FSH is 3-20 mill/ml, while reading over 30-40 suggests that menopause could fit. The normal estrogen range is 25-75 ml/ml, reading below 30 V CO Combination with high FSH reading would indicate menopause.

A complicated test MUIt will check the levels of testosterone, androsenedione, estradiol, FSH, progesterone and DHEA-S. The basic hormonal test checks the levels of FSH and testosterone. Normal FSH for adult male is 1.5-18.0 ml/ml, while the normal testosterone range is 241-827 nanograms/dl. Like women, high reading FSH suggests a possible menopause of men, a reality impaired in combination with low testosterone values.
