What is the ear polyp?
Ears polyp, also known as auditory polyp, is abnormal skin and soft tissue growth ranging from the ear canal. Polyps are fleshy, swollen lumps, sometimes containing bloody pus. Usually, the ears polyp is either from the ear canal or from the tympanic membrane, better known as the ear drum. Rarely, such polyps are considered to be cancer growth, but are rather benign cysts or the result of aggressive bone infections. Although it is usually not cancer, it may be considered malignant when referring to polyps resulting from bone infection, because of their aggressive growth speed and a dangerous nature. Acute otitis external or strong ear swimmers can result in formation of polyp. When water remains in the ear canal, such as regular swimming, the humid environment serves as a reproductive soil for both bacterial and fungal infections. If it is not treated, such an infection can lead to the formation of the ear polyp between the bubble and the outer ear.
Malignant externities otitis are aggressive abnormal growth in the retaining channel, which begins with bone infection inside the ear. The diagnosis of these polyps as malignant does not mean that it is a cancer growth, but rather refers to the aggressive behavior of similar cancer of such polyps. As the infection develops and grows in intensity, the irritation of sensitive tissues at the bottom of the ear canal creates a polyp. The risk of complications from malignant external otitis is high. If it is not treated, malignant ear polyp can lead to the infection of the bones of the skull, cerebral abscesses, permanent hearing loss and paralysis of the face muscles.
skin cysts are another cause of ears polyps. Like polyps caused by ear or bones swimmers, skin cysts in the ear canal are usually the result of prolonged irritation. Under chronic -sided conditions, the risk of infection and the development of cysts - the defense of the body against chronic irritation or inflammation - increases significantly. Surgically implanted tubes used to alleviate chrOnic ear infections can sometimes lead to similar skin cysts or ears. Small bones in mastoid or middle ear are prone to irreparable damage in the development of such ears.
symptoms associated with ears polyps include extreme touch sensitivity, excessive ear drainage, bloody drainage, pain and itching in the canal. Hearing loss or reducing hearing ability is common in all ears polyps. In some cases, even a soft touch on the ear polyp can cause pain and bloody drainage. Solid ear polyps that are not easy to divert are a sign of tumor growth. Soft, inflamed polyps that are easy to bleed, usually testify to chronic or serious infection.
