What is used physiology?

Physiology is the study of biological systems of living things such as plants or animals. One type of physiology, human physiology, acknowledges that, for example, integrated processes that occur between cardiovascular, respiratory and urinary systems, allow the body to regulate the volume of fluids, internal temperature, potensive hydrogen and blood pressure. The basic principles of physiology as a whole remain constant, regardless of the subject, and it is generally acknowledged that what physiology reveals about the cellular functioning of microorganisms can be extrapolated to human physiology. Applied physiology exceeds the study of biological systems and steps to practical applications. For example, anatomy involves studying muscle, organs and connective tissue in terms of form and structure, but applied physiology is more concerned with the purpose and function of these systems and how they relate to the rest of the organism.

There is a difference between applied physiology and clinical practice, although many areas in life sciences are closely related. Although the basics of physiology dates back to ancestors of medicine in ancient Greece, applied physiology is still a relative newcomer to the biomedical arena. However, she was growing and she was constantly diversified to other medical industries. Scientists hope that future progress in applied physiology will lead to improving the quality of life of people who experience a limited range of movement due to age -related disorders, degenerative diseases, neurological conditions and even spinal cord injuries.
