What is the opposition defiance failure?

The American Psychological Association recognizes

opposition disorder as a mental health disorder affecting children aged six and nine. This is marked by the argumentation, disobedient and hostile behavior towards the characters of authority and also by a general negative attitude. The severity of defiance can range from moderate to uncontrollable.

The behavior associated with this disorder is very normal and common in four and five -year -olds. This age group usually shows intentionally unpleasant behavior, lively attacks of anger, argument and ignore adult requests. Although this behavior is difficult, it usually passes at the age of six and is therefore not clinically diagnosed at an earlier age. However, older children, who are diagnosed, almost always showed difficult behavior in childhood and early childhood. Before the age of six years, these children are usually irritated, have a difficult temperament of infant age and are argumentation in preschool age. Closely related to anotherA problem known as behavior disorder . Behavior disorder is characterized by aggressive and hostile behavior in children over nine years of age through adolescence, including violence, vandalism and theft.

Not every child with opposition disorder develops behavior disorder, but interesting research shows that all children who have a behavior disorder also had an opposition defiance disorder when they were younger. Mental health experts believe that approximately 25% of children who have this condition also develop behavior disorder. Some, but definitely not all, people who had one or both disorders have a greater risk of antisocial or psychopathic personalities as adults.

It is not known why some children developed opposition defiant disorder. Mental health experts believe that low socio -economic status, antisocial parents or loss of important careELE may be a causal factor for this type of personality disorder. However, it often occurs in extremely intelligent or gifted children who are marked as opposition because they tend to think outside social standards and subsequently question authority. Gifted children usually grow from this behavior when they mature.
