What is white tongue?

White tongue concerns cases where a person's language is covered with a thin white film. Dead skin cells or bacteria on the surface of the tongue may cause it to look white. An individual may have a white tongue due to various things, including excessive dry mouth, oral yeast infections or an early phase of oral cancer.

Chronic drought in the mouth is one of the most common causes of white tongue. Dehydration is often the cause of dry mouth. People should drink a lot of water throughout the day to avoid dehydration. If a person uses antibiotics, he plays sport often or spent the night drinking more alcoholic beverages, it could be more at risk of dehydration.

poor oral hygiene can also lead to dry mouth. People should be sure to brush their teeth several times a day. Flossing and the use of mouthwash also promotes good oral care. If a person is susceptible to white tongue, the tongue brushing can be easily beneficial.

Anoth -running cause of white tongue is oral kvaSink infection, also known as thrush. Like vaginal yeast infection, the thrush is caused by a fungus called Candida. The white tongue caused by oral thrush will be stronger and more painful than the white tongue caused by dehydration.

Prosthesis carriers, people taking inhalation medicines for asthma or suffering disorders of the chronic immune system are among those who have a high risk of developing oral yeast infection. The doctor can prescribe rinsing against mistakes to heal Candida. If the individual knows that it is susceptible to thrush, regular consumption of yoghurt and garlic can help prevent re -occurrence, as these meals contain natural properties of yeast.

One of the rare but potentially most dangerous causes of white tongue is Leukoplakia. Leukoplakia causes stains of white spots and gums on the tongue. Older individuals or those thresholdsIli immune systems, are at higher risk of developing leukoplakia than others.

Leukoplakia should be taken seriously, as it could be an early sign of oral cancer. Smokers or people who had cancer in other parts of the body should seek medical care as soon as possible if they suspect they have leukoplakia. A dentist or doctor may do a biopsy to determine whether cancer cells are present. The earlier cancer is caught, the greater the chance the patient has to recover.
