What is the power unit?
Power unit (PSU) is a type of energy converter that provides direct current (DC) into internal components of the computer. Some of these units are designed specifically for use with an AC current of 110 or 230 volts (AC), while others can be switched between two or even receiving any voltage in this range. The direct current voltage level they provide may also vary, usually between 3 and 12 DC volts. Power and notebook computers use power units, although they are somewhat different in design.
