What is a text processor?

Word Processor is a software application that allows you to create a personal computer to create, format, edit, store and retrieve documents. Documents may contain text, numbers, graphics, photos or combinations of two or more of these formats. The processor can be installed on a computer on a desktop or laptop or to be part of both operating system software programs.

Before the middle of the 80s. These somewhat bulky machines, presented to the public at the age of 70, combined the functions of an electric typewriter keyboard with memory capabilities in the processor inside the device. A printer was usually connected to the back of the device. The only lines of electronic readings at the bottom of the keyboard allowed the user to display the text before printing. A floppy disk or memory card embedded in saved machine search documents.

As the technology has advanced, the text processor became multiAted. New features were constantly introduced and usually included font and formatting directory, such as italic, bold formation of columns and paging. Soon internal spelling control skills together with grammar and thesis control programs were added.

When a personal computer was introduced to the public, separate text processors were quickly replaced by systems composed of separate peripherals that were connected by cables and data transfer devices. Instead of one machine, people who wanted to create documents electronically had to buy a video monitor, keyboard, mice and operating system that was closed in a metal cabinet. This cabinet also contained a disk drive into which small cards called floppy disks were inserted for data storage.

The Word Processor processor software was initially available from several manufacturing companies. While all these software programs had similar features,of which each had unique names for text processing tools included in the software. As the technology has advanced, these software companies were increasingly sophisticated versions that had more features and easier availability to attract more novice users.

Today's text processor options include programs suitable for children and people with physical disabilities. Some program program programs are activated by voice and others can be operated by handling the joystick instead of keyboards. Almost every language in the world is accessible through various text processing programs.

Although there were several computer text processing programs on the market, two have appeared as a leading industry. In the mid -80s. Wordperfect was preferred software and kept leading on the market until the beginning of the 90's. At that time, Microsoft Word was introduced and became the most installed program of computer processing around the world.
