What is a satellite broadband connection?

Satellite broadband is an Internet connection provided by a satellite rather than dialing, DSL (digital subscriber line) or cable service. The satellite broadband connection is connected to the network subscriber and provides speeds similar to other broadband technologies. Unfortunately, not everyone can get DSL or cable service, especially in rural areas. In order to be eligible for DSL, the subscriber must be up to 18,000 feet (5,486.4 meters) of the telephone center, although some telecommunications companies can hold more distances. Companies that provide cable TV offer internet services, but it also does not cover all areas. The Internet source is transported from the satellite to the bowl installed in the participant's house. The satellite broadband connection can provide 2 megabites per second (Mbps) downstream and 1 Mbps upstream. Compare it with dialing out about 53 kilobites per second.
