WBEM consists of CIM, an XMLDTD that defines a markup (XML encoding) describing CIM scheduling and its data, and a set of HTTP operations to exchange XML-based information. CIM uses a low-level information model to integrate with XML data description language and HTTP transport protocol. CIM creates a conceptual view of the enterprise.
