What Is a Blowtorch?
blast burner
- [pn dng]
- blast burner
- Other names: fire lamp, red lantern
- Uses: A tool for heating workpieces by spraying flames. It is often used to heat a soldering iron during welding, to bake sand molds during casting, to heat workpieces during heat treatment, and to heat and thaw automotive water tanks. [1]
Steps of using the torch
- Before use-check: the type of oil (cannot be mixed), the amount of oil (should be less than three-quarters); whether there is air leakage (thread lock); whether the bottom of the oil barrel is deformed and convex; Whether the nozzle is clogged
- In useIgnition: Close the throttle and pump up properly; ignite the ignition bowl with kerosene. After the nozzle is hot, gradually open the oil volume adjustment valve.
- (During pumping, the oil drum must not rub against the ground; when the fire is normal, you should not pump more.
- When igniting, it should be in a sheltered place away from charged equipment. The nozzle should not be aimed at flammable materials. A person should stand on the side of the torch. The lamps and the lamps cannot ignite each other. )
- During use, always check whether the amount of oil is too small, whether the lamp body is too hot, and whether the safety valve is effective.
- After use-close the throttle, slowly cool the air nozzle, and then open the air valve; wipe the torch clean and put it in a safe place
Safety regulations for torches
- The first must be checked before use. Those who leak gas or oil are not allowed to use it. Do not place it on the stove. Do not fill too much, and the inflation pressure should not be too high.
- The second article is not allowed to be reversed or refueled after burning. When refueling is required, the fire must be extinguished and cooled before refueling. Do not allow it to burn against the ground or wall for a long time or close range.
- Article 3 It is not allowed to ignite and repair torches in manholes, cable basements and boost stations, and near flammable materials; torches are not allowed near flammable materials.
- Article 4 No refueling is allowed in the manhole; when the use is suspended, it is not allowed to face the flame close to the cable or the wall of the manhole.
- Article 5 When used in high places, it must be tied up with ropes.
- Article 6 After use, the gas should be deflated in time, and the throttle should be opened and closed to avoid the throttle being blocked.
- The seventh torch is a special tool for sealing and welding cables. It is not allowed to use for boiling water, cooking or other purposes.
Torch maintenance
- 1. It is strictly prohibited to use welding torches. 2. It is strictly forbidden to heat the lamp pot with other heat sources. 3. If the torch still does not ignite after two preheatings, it should be temporarily stopped. Should check the interface for leaks (can be checked with a match), whether the nozzle is blocked (can be cleared with a probe) and the wick is intact (the wick is burnt, and should be replaced if it becomes thin), and it can be used after repair. 4. The continuous use time of the torch is preferably 30 to 40 minutes. If the use time is too long, the temperature of the lamp pot will gradually increase, which will cause the pressure inside the lamp pot to be too high, and the torch will be in danger of cracking. The lower end of the torch can be covered with cold wet cloth to reduce the temperature. 5. In use, if you find that the bottom of the lamp pot is raised, stop using it immediately, find out the reason (may be too long, the temperature of the lamp body is too high, or the nozzle is blocked, etc.) and take appropriate treatment before use.
