What is a dry box?

A dry box is a type of storage container that covers a wide range of boxes. There are regular plastic dry boxes for tools and other objects, spilled boxes for storing laboratory devices and electronic dry boxes for valuable objects or substances that must be constantly dry. As the name suggests, a dry box is made to keep the objects dry, but each type is made for a specific type of object. Such a box is slightly resistant and has no electric components, so there are only water and moisture outside. This box is made to household items that cannot be around the water but may not be strictly maintained. Most often, this type of box is used for tools such as keys and screwdrivers. Some are made to make extra waterproof and use for fishing and voyage. Others are made to keep the ice or as an ice cooler. While each form is made for a particular type of object, most can be used for different purposes.

High or dried dry box is made for electronics and laboratory equipment that is highly sensitive to moisture. The materials used to produce embellishment create an environment that has a very low level of humidity. This low moisture level means that any moisture that is close to drying is immediately pulled out, so it cannot affect anything held in a dry box. This type of box also protects anything inside rusty and prevents mushrooms from developing.

Electronic dry box uses electronic components to maintain dry objects. They are used in research facilities, universities and pharmacies. Basic units ensure that there is no moisture or oxygen in a dry box. More complex units are able to maintain other substances such as nitrogen. Complex units are mostly used for very sensitive equipment that can not be affected by any substances without causing damage.

Together with maintaining dry objects, the dry box gives another important purpose to keep the object safe. The box is made of durable material, usually plastic or metal to prevent damage to the object. Dry boxes are never made of soft materials that would provide little protection from objects inside.
