What is the plate?

bridges, pedestrian sidewalks and above -ground pipes move due to expansion and contraction from the weather and also from seismic movement or movement of the Earth. These structures contain expanding joints that allow movement and bearing surfaces or slides to minimize friction damage. The sliding plate is a combination of flat steel plates and low friction material that allows movement with low wear of the structure.

bearings are used to reduce wear in most moving devices, but static or bland buildings, bridges or other structures must move. The weight of the traffic through the bridge or temperature change can cause the bridge structure to move in different directions. Metal rays in direct contact and under load may not move properly, or high friction can cause sudden movements or release that can damage the structure.

Adding a sliding plate between the rays creates a low friction bearing surface that allows smooth movement of the structure. At leastThe Olčný cover cover is a slippery fluoropolymer fused to the bearing surface on both rays. The result is two polymer surfaces in contact, resulting in a low friction bearing that requires no lubrication and low maintenance. The pipes can be expanded and closed due to temperature changes and a slide can be added to the support pipe beam. The bearing surface does not move, but allows the pipeline to move on it.

Geological conditions can also cause the movement of buildings and bridges. In the earthquake zone, the bearing surfaces can be installed under the buildings to separate the structure from the foundation below. During the earthquake, the design of the image enables the building to move very little while the ground moves below it.

Some applications are not in harmony polymer bearings due to high load or operating temperatures. Another design of the board with a sliding plate uses BRonze or other metals that contain graphite carbon or lubricating oil. Graphite is often contained in metal as small buttons with a slightly higher profile than the board. The bearings and boards filled with oil are formed by small beads connected together, called salivation, which contain many channels and cavities filled with oil.

slide plates can also be used as wear surfaces for moving parts. The ingredients are repeatedly open and closed to allow shipping of ships to move through rivers and channels. The end of the drawbridge may rest on a sliding plate that minimizes the wear of the bridge. It also provides a bearing surface for any thermal expansion or contraction of the bridge when it is closed.
