What is a wind pump?

The wind pump is a windmill that draws water from various water sources, including growl. Pumped water is usually used to ensure clean drinking water, irrigation of agricultural land or hydrate and feeding livestock. Wind pumps are also used to alleviate flooded areas from excess water and to produce seawater salt. Wind pumps, often used in rural, dry and semi -dry areas, can be seen in parts of Argentina, South Africa, Asia and the United States. They were an important part of the economic development of many remote areas in the United States. Progress in technology is still being made. In general, however, windmills pumps can be classified into two types: the wind pump horizontal axis that is used more often, and a vertical wind pump. As the names indicate, the rotor shaft in the horizontal wind axis of the pump runs parallel to the ground, while in the vertical axis of the pump runs perpendicular to the ground. Types of rotors used in the horizontal wind pump axis JThey are usually multi-mandated or three-black-Czech aerophils. The common types of vertical windmill pumps are Mr.EMone and Darrieus.

The rotor shaft of the horizontal wind pump must point towards the wind direction and the generator must be installed at the top of the tower. On the other hand, the vertical wind pump does not require the vertical rotor shaft to be placed in the wind and the rotor can be installed near the ground. Although the cost of maintenance of wind pumps is high, their efficiency is usually larger than the wind pumps of vertical axis. Wind pumps have a tail blade that automatically turns the machine away from the wind direction, thus preventing damage due to high winds.

In general, piston pumps are used to pump water from the well. The pump and rotor should cooperate in the efficient operation of the wind pump. Wind flow makes it easier to rotate the shovelThe rotor and power EC is transferred to pump rods, which are usually made of galvanized steel. This causes the piston pump to pump water into the storage tank, which can later be distributed.
