What is a worm reel?

Worm-gear reel uses a specialized type of set of Helical devices called ČER-GEAR to create torque. The worm-gear is connected to the drum that turns when the gearbox set turns. These reels are available in hand varieties. Due to the design of the reel with the worm, the gearbox ratio has a comparable size reel. The worms are long, cylindrical wheels that can have one tooth or more teeth that are spirals around the worm at an angle. This creates the appearance of the screw. The worm intersects the flat gear at the angle, which allows the teeth of the worm to fit freely with the teeth of the gear. Depending on the angle of intersecting teeth, the self -service set can be a set of gear, but the worm can turn the gear, but the friction does not allow the gear to turn the worm. While TRATY HELICAL Gear has a ratio of 10: 1 or lower gear gears, this ratio increases to 500: 1. This equals faster movement because each rotation of the worm turns the gear500 times in comparison with 10 revolutions generated by traditional Helical speeds.

While the high ratio of the worm-gear reel causes it to work faster than other gear sets, the compromise is efficiency. The design of the worm-gear set leaves a large amount of game or sliding actions between the teeth of two gears. In some cases, the worm reel has less than 50%. Despite this disadvantage, a set of worms is more convenient for applications where self -thought -out, fast action reels are required.

A common application for the red-gear reel is a ships trailer. Worm-gear reel is usually mounted on the front of the trailer and the drum is loaded with a rope or knitted metal cable. The boat is cable on the winch cable and then the operator captures or activates the electric motor connected to the worm. When the worm begins to rotate, its teeth connect to the gear, turn the drum and attractThe boat is moving on the trailer. Similar arrangements are used for equipment for transporting cars and towing vehicles.
